Students in American History III are currently studying World War II from Chapter 25 with a test planned for Friday, October 13.
Students have been given the task of documenting and interpreting a photo of their choice relating to the WWII era by October 12. Students were encouraged to ask family members for a possible photo to use, but could find a random photo elsewhere to source and interpret by completing a set of questions.
Students had the opportunity this week to practice historic curation skills in class through a mini museum of six displays of artifacts and memorabilia from a Waterloo WWII veteran's collection. Students were able to examine the items including medals, photos, ration books, and military documents. Students created titles for each display and worked together to answer questions about the artifacts.
